Casino Sign Up Bonuses UK: Best Offers Checked 2026

Offers verified: 26 October 2026. 18+ only. UKGC-licensed operators only.

A casino sign up bonus is what you get for opening an account, usually free spins or bonus funds that land after your first deposit or stake. Since the UKGC capped wagering at 10× in January 2026, the size of the banner tells you less than it ever did. What counts is how much of the bonus you actually get to keep. That’s why we ranked every offer here by expected keepable value: what the bonus is worth once wagering, spin stake and caps have taken their cut.

Short answer: Betfred gives you the most keepable value among offers with a published spin stake, with 200 no-wager spins at 10p for £10. Sky Vegas is the only big brand that hands you 50 spins before you deposit. And PlayOJO has the plainest terms in the market: no wagering, no max-win cap, no nonsense.

Best Casino Sign Up Bonuses This Month (Compared)

The table below compares the headline offer alongside the terms that decide what it’s really worth: trigger, wagering, expiry and which payment methods count. Our “Keepable value” column is an estimate at 96% RTP, using the formula further down the page.

*Keepable value = spin count × spin stake × 96% RTP, for 0× offers where no cap is hit. It’s an average, not a promise. Where the operator’s terms page doesn’t publish the spin stake, we left it blank rather than guess.

Disclosure. We may earn a commission from links on this page, but no operator pays for its position. Scores follow the method set out further down. Offers change constantly, so read the operator’s own T&Cs before you deposit.

Best overall sign up bonus: Betfred

Betfred wins because 200 spins at 10p is £20 of play for a £10 stake, and the winnings carry no wagering at all. No other UKGC offer we checked with a published spin stake comes close on keepable value per pound right now.

Best no deposit sign up bonus: Sky Vegas

Sky Vegas gives you 50 spins just for registering, rare at a major UK brand. So you get to find out whether you like the lobby before your card comes anywhere near the cashier.

Best no wagering sign up offer: PlayOJO

PlayOJO states outright that its 0× spins carry no max-win cap. Plenty of others are wager-free, but not all publish that, and if you land a monster bonus round here, the whole thing is yours.

Best sign up bonus for PayPal users: BetMGM

BetMGM counts PayPal deposits towards its welcome (as do PlayOJO and MrQ), and it gives the most spins of the three. Ladbrokes, Betfred and Sky won’t give you the bonus on a PayPal deposit.

Best low-deposit sign up offer (£5)

Coral and Betano have both run welcomes that trigger at £5 (check the current terms, as we haven’t scored them above), so they’re the pick if a tenner feels like a stretch. You get less value in pure pounds. But you won’t stretch your budget chasing it.

Our Top Sign Up Bonuses Reviewed

Betfred – 200 No-Wager Spins for £10

To claim Betfred’s offer, register with code SPINS, deposit by debit card and stake £10 on slots at Betfred Games or Vegas within 14 days. The 200 spins at 10p land within 48 hours, and you then have 7 days to use them. Once the full batch is played, the winnings become withdrawable cash.

  • Pro: The most keepable value on this list, roughly £19.20 on average.
  • Con: Forget the code before your first deposit and the offer’s gone for good. Only debit cards qualify, and the spins are locked to one game. Betfred Casino also runs a separate no-code deal with 200 spins at just 5p (£10 of value), so make sure you take the Games/Vegas route. Petfre, Betfred’s licensee (UKGC 39544), paid a £240k penalty in May 2025 over technical-standards failings and remains licensed.

Sky Vegas – 50 Spins Before You Deposit, Then 200 More

Sky Vegas runs a two-step welcome: 50 spins with no deposit, then 200 more once you deposit and stake £10. Its own support page says neither batch carries wagering. That’s 250 spins in total with one stage costing you nothing, which makes it the lowest-risk way into a big UK brand. Licence: 65519.

  • Pro: You can kick the tyres before paying, and the terms sit on Sky’s own pages.
  • Con: Sky doesn’t take PayPal at all, and the spins only work on specific games.

Paddy Power Games – Best Site Once the Bonus Is Gone

Paddy Power’s welcome is a no-wager spin bundle on qualifying play, and it earns its spot through the cashier rather than the bonus. Visa Fast Funds withdrawals typically land within 1–4 hours, and Pay by Bank qualifies for the offer. If you plan to stick around after the welcome, that matters a lot more than 50 extra spins. Licence: Power Leisure Bookmakers, 1034.

  • Pro: 0× spins, quick card payouts and a solid app.
  • Con: The PayPal minimum is £30. Check the qualifying stake and eligible games before you play.

PlayOJO – No Wagering, No Max-Win Cap

Deposit £10 at PlayOJO and you get 50 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p, with winnings paid as cash and no ceiling on them. Older round-ups still quote 80 spins, but the official page now says 50. Licence: SkillOnNet, 39326.

  • Pro: The cleanest terms in the UK market. OJOplus cashback keeps paying after the welcome, also wager-free.
  • Con: £5 of spin value is modest. PlayOJO also has a UKGC settlement of roughly £305k on record from 2023.

Ladbrokes – Spins Plus Loyalty Currency

Deposit and spend £10 on slots and Ladbrokes pays out 100 free spins at 10p plus 300 LadBucks, with no wagering on spin winnings. You get 48 hours to accept the spins and 7 days to use them, and PayPal or Paysafecard deposits won’t qualify. The LadBucks only pay off if you keep playing there. So treat them as a loyalty head start, not as part of what the welcome is worth. Licence: LC International, 54743.

BetMGM – The PayPal-Friendly Welcome

BetMGM gives you 200 free spins after £10 of casino play, and PayPal deposits count towards it. The weak spot is the expiry, which is often just 3 days. Claim the spins when you’ve actually got time to use them. Licence: LeoVegas Gaming, 39198.

MrQ – Best Cashier, Pricier Trigger

MrQ puts zero wagering on every promotion it runs, and Visa Fast Funds withdrawals arrive within 4 hours. It sits last because the welcome trigger is often £20 and the minimum withdrawal is £10. If fast cashouts matter more to you than spin count, it’s the right call. Licence: Tek Fox, 60629.

What Is a Casino Sign Up Bonus?

A casino sign up bonus is a one-off offer for new customers: you register, usually deposit or stake a set amount, and the casino gives you free spins, bonus funds or both. Acquiring a player is expensive, the bonus is a marketing cost, and the operator fully expects to win it back over the months you keep playing.

You’ll see three labels used almost interchangeably:

  • Sign up bonus. Anything you get for registering, including no deposit spins.
  • Welcome bonus. Usually a first-deposit offer.
  • Welcome package. Rewards spread across several deposits. If you’re only putting in £10, judge the package on step one alone.

Whatever it’s called, every offer boils down to three numbers. What you put in, what you get back, and what hoops you jump through before you can withdraw.

Types of Casino Sign Up Bonuses

Deposit and stake (“bet and get”) offers

Deposit-and-stake is the dominant UK format, even though most comparison pages barely mention it. You deposit, play £10 of your own cash on eligible slots, and the spins turn up afterwards. Betfred, Sky Vegas, Ladbrokes and BetMGM all work this way. The catch: your tenner is at risk before the bonus arrives, and you can lose it chasing the trigger. Since January 2026 the stake also has to be on casino games, so a football bet can’t unlock casino spins anymore.

Free spins on deposit

With a free-spins-on-deposit offer, you deposit a set amount and the spins land with no stake required. PlayOJO is the cleanest example. Always check the spin stake, though, because 200 spins at 5p and 100 spins at 10p are worth exactly the same £10.

Deposit match bonuses

A 100% deposit match turns £10 into £10 of cash plus £10 of bonus funds. Major UK brands have largely ditched these for 0× spins. Even at the 10× cap, a match bonus bleeds a decent chunk of its value through wagering, as the worked example below shows.

No deposit sign up bonuses

No deposit bonuses give you spins or a small cash credit just for registering. They’re rare at UKGC brands because they attract bonus abusers, and the ones that survive tend to be small, tied to one game and capped. Sky Vegas’s 50 spins is the stand-out exception right now. Treat any “£20 free, no deposit” banner as a red flag unless the site is on the UKGC register.

No wagering sign up bonuses

No wagering bonuses pay whatever the spins win as straight cash. They’re now standard at the top end of the UK market, with six of our seven picks running 0× on their spins. The fine print worth reading is max-win caps and minimum withdrawals, not wagering.

Live casino and bingo sign up offers

Some operators run separate welcomes for live tables or bingo rooms. Live casino play often contributes at a lower rate to any wagering, and bingo welcomes usually pay in tickets. If you mostly play live blackjack or roulette, a slots spin welcome is close to useless for you, so hunt for an offer built around the product you’ll actually use.

UK Bonus Rules in 2026: What Changed

The 10× wagering cap

Since 19 January 2026, UKGC-licensed casinos can’t make you wager a bonus more than 10 times. Before that, 35×–50× was standard and most match bonuses were close to worthless. A £10 bonus at 40× meant £400 of play and an expected loss of about £16 at 96% RTP, which wiped the bonus out entirely. At 10× it’s £100 of play and roughly £4 lost.

The ban on mixed-product promotions

From the same date, operators can’t make you play across products to unlock a bonus. “Bet £10 on football, get 50 casino spins” is dead. Combined sports-and-casino welcomes now have to be split into separate offers, each with its own trigger.

Age, ID and affordability checks

You must be 18 or over and pass ID verification before you can play at all. A first deposit of £10–£20 rarely trips affordability checks, but the UKGC’s financial risk checks can kick in as your total deposits climb. Upload ID and proof of address at sign-up.

UK-licensed vs offshore bonuses

The 300–400% match offers and “no GamStop” casinos you’ll spot in search results come from sites that aren’t licensed in Great Britain. The 10× cap doesn’t protect you there, there’s no UK dispute route, and withdrawals can be refused on terms you never saw. A bigger bonus on paper is worth precisely nothing if you can’t get it out.

Wagering requirements, worked through

A £10 bonus at 10× means placing £100 of bets before it converts to cash. At 96% RTP the house keeps about 4% of that, so expect to lose around £4 along the way and walk off with roughly £6. That’s the average. Some players will bust long before hitting £100, and a few will finish well ahead.

Payment method exclusions

Payment exclusions cost players more bonuses than any other term. Skrill and Neteller are often excluded, Paysafecard regularly is, and PayPal varies by operator: BetMGM, Virgin Games, MrQ and LeoVegas count it, Ladbrokes doesn’t, and Sky doesn’t take it at all. Unless the terms name your e-wallet, make that first deposit by debit card.

“Deposit” vs “deposit and stake”

“Deposit £10” means the money hitting your account triggers the bonus, while “deposit and stake £10” means you also have to play it through on eligible games. Most “my spins never arrived” complaints come from players who deposited but never staked.

How to Calculate the Real Value of a Sign Up Bonus

You only need two formulas to value a sign up bonus, one for spins and one for bonus funds. Five minutes with these tells you more than any ranking table, ours included.

  • 0× free spins: spins × stake per spin × RTP
  • Bonus funds with wagering: bonus − (bonus × wagering multiple × house edge)
OfferFace valueWageringExpected cost of wageringExpected keepable value
Betfred: 200 spins at 10p£200×£0~£19.20
Ladbrokes: 100 spins at 10p£100×£0~£9.60 (+ LadBucks)
Betfred Casino: 200 spins at 5p£100×£0~£9.60
PlayOJO: 50 spins at 10p£50×£0~£4.80
Generic 100% match on £10£1010×~£4~£6
Generic 200% match on £10£2010×~£8~£12

Run the numbers and three things jump out:

  • Spin count is a lousy guide to value. Betfred’s two “200 spin” offers differ by about £10 because one pays 10p a spin and the other 5p.
  • A 0× offer usually beats a bigger match. 200 no-wager spins still beat a 200% match, even after the 10× cap.
  • Caps can override the formula. A max-win cap only bites in the lucky cases, but those are exactly the outcomes you’d most want to keep.

One more adjustment for deposit-and-stake offers: your own £10 also gets played at the house edge, which costs about £0.40 at 96% RTP. Small, but part of the price.

How to Claim a Casino Sign Up Bonus

  1. Pick the offer from the table and open it through the offer page, so the right promo gets attached to your account.
  2. Register with your real details. Your name and address must match your ID and payment card, or your withdrawal will stall.
  3. Verify straight away. Upload ID and proof of address before you deposit.
  4. Opt in or enter the code before depositing. Betfred’s SPINS code, for example, won’t work if you add it afterwards.
  5. Deposit with an eligible method. Debit card is the safe default.
  6. Stake the trigger amount on eligible slots if the terms say “deposit and stake”.
  7. Accept and use the spins inside the expiry window.
  8. Withdraw once any wagering is done. With 0× offers, you can cash out straight away.

How We Rate Sign Up Bonuses

Every number on this page comes from the operator’s own terms page, never from affiliate copy. We cross-check licence numbers against the UKGC public register and re-check offers monthly. The last pass was on 26 October 2026.

Offers we left out, and why

  • NetBet’s 100 no-wager spins: a £20 trigger plus a £100 cap on winnings works out to lower value per pound than our picks.
  • Betfred Casino’s 5p spin option: same headline count as Betfred Games, half the value. We list the better route.
  • 300–400% match bonuses: almost always from sites without a UKGC licence.
  • Sports-to-casino combo welcomes: banned in their old form since 19 January 2026.

Are Casino Sign Up Bonuses Still Worth It?

Yes, for most UK players casino sign up bonuses are worth it, and more so than before 2026. A 0× spin bonus is a genuine discount on play you were going to do anyway, and our top pick is worth roughly £19 on average for a £10 stake. The 10× cap also dragged match bonuses back into the land of the living, though they still trail no-wager spins.

That said, skip the bonus when:

  • You’d only be depositing to chase the offer.
  • You only play live tables and the bonus is slots-only.
  • You can’t use the spins within the expiry window.
  • The only qualifying payment method is one you’d rather not use.

A bonus is a discount, not an edge. The house still wins over time, so the best sign up offer is the one at a site you’d happily use without it.

FAQs

What is the best casino sign up bonus in the UK right now?
Betfred's 200 no-wager spins at 10p for a £10 stake gives the most keepable value among offers with a published spin stake, around £19 on average. Sky Vegas is the pick if you want spins before depositing, and PlayOJO has the cleanest terms with no max-win cap.
Can I get a casino sign up bonus without depositing?
Yes, but it's rare at major UK brands. Sky Vegas currently gives 50 spins for registering, then 200 more after a £10 deposit and stake.
Can you win real money from a casino sign up bonus?
Yes. Winnings from 0× spins are paid as cash, and bonus funds turn into cash once the wagering is done. You'll need to pass ID checks before withdrawing.
What is the maximum wagering requirement allowed in the UK?
10×, under UKGC rules in force since 19 January 2026. Before that, 35× to 50× was common.
Can I claim sign up bonuses at more than one casino?
Yes. Each operator's welcome is separate. Casinos run by the same group sometimes limit you to one offer across their brands, so check the terms.
Can I claim the same sign up bonus twice?
No. Welcome offers are limited to one per person, household, payment method and device. Opening a second account to claim again breaches the terms and can get your winnings voided.
Why can't I use PayPal or Skrill to claim a bonus?
Some operators exclude e-wallets to cut down on bonus abuse. Ladbrokes excludes PayPal, Betfred only accepts debit cards for its offer, and Sky doesn't take PayPal at all. BetMGM, PlayOJO, Virgin Games, MrQ and LeoVegas do count PayPal.
Do I need a bonus code to claim a sign up offer?
Usually not, since most offers credit after you opt in. Some do need one, like Betfred's SPINS, which has to go in before your first deposit.
How long do I have to use a sign up bonus?
Usually 48 hours to 7 days. Ladbrokes gives you 48 hours to accept its spins and 7 days to use them, Betfred gives 7 days, and BetMGM's window is often just 3 days.
Can I withdraw my winnings straight away?
With 0× spins, yes, once you've used the batch and passed verification. With match bonuses, you have to finish the wagering first. Minimum withdrawals are usually £5–£10.
Are casino sign up bonuses legal in the UK?
Yes, at UKGC-licensed casinos, which must follow the 10× wagering cap and the ban on mixed-product offers. Check the licence number in the site footer against the UKGC public register.
What happens if I break the bonus terms?
The casino can remove the bonus and any winnings from it. The usual breaches are going over the max bet, playing excluded games and opening duplicate accounts.
