The copy that sat here until 2026 was a 2023 template. It quoted eCOGRA as if Jackpot Inside were an operator, listed $100 deposit caps, and sent British readers to the US National Council on Problem Gambling, the Mayo Clinic and a Canadian responsible-gambling.org. GamCare was buried under that pile.
Jackpot Inside reviews UKGC-licensed casinos. We do not take deposits. We cannot refund a loss, lift a GAMSTOP block, or process a complaint. If a licensed cashier is treating you badly, that is the operator, then their ADR, then the Gambling Commission.

The charity completed a managed closure on 31 March 2026, after the statutory levy and government commissioners took over research, prevention and treatment commissioning. GAMSTOP
One free request blocks you from all Great Britain remote gambling websites and apps. It can take up to 24 hours to become effective. Registering does not automatically return money sitting in casino wallets — you contact each operator.

Liv Boeree’s line on a lot of instant digital casino product as “dopamine exploitation” is why speed pages on this site come with a limit reminder, not a celebration. A faster Pay by Bank cashout is a consumer right. A faster reload is the product working on you.
Player self-exclusion
The old page described a seven-day cooling-off and a six-month self-exclusion as if Jackpot Inside could lock “your gaming account”. We do not hold accounts. Licensed operators offer time-outs on their brand. The national remote block is GAMSTOP.
GAMSTOP is free. If you live in the UK (Great Britain and Northern Ireland) you can exclude yourself from all online and other remote gambling businesses licensed to take GB customers — websites and apps. Minimum periods, from GAMSTOP’s own articles and terms:
- 6 months
- 1 year
- 5 years
- 5 years with auto-renewal (available since December 2024). Auto-renew starts another five years unless you turn it off in the last six months of the current term.
You cannot deactivate during the minimum period. After it expires, the block can continue for up to seven years unless you ask for it to come off. It can take up to 24 hours to bite. Do not open a new account “to test it”.
GAMSTOP does not cover high-street shops, land-based casinos or unlicensed websites. Shops: GAMSTOP Betting Shops 0800 294 2060. Unlicensed “not on GamStop” lists are the black market Grainne Hurst described in June 2026, when she noted that typing that query into Google still surfaces results “my eight-year-old could” find. Deposit limits
The old $100 / one-deposit-a-week grid was fiction. Limits are in sterling, set by you, on that operator. A seven-day cool-off at one brand does not close another.
The Commission pushed the second phase of RTS 12 from 30 June to 30 September 2026. From that date operators must:
- Offer gross deposit limits (money in, not “net of withdrawals”)
- Name them “deposit limits” — only that type may use the words
- Give them at least equal prominence to other financial limits
- Offer durations including 24 hours, 7 days and one month
Net, loss or stake caps can still exist. They must not steal the label. Set the limit before the first debit. Raising it later usually waits 24 hours. That delay is the feature. Source: UKGC, 26 May 2026.
Financial Risk Assessments
Sarah Gardner, Acting CEO of the Commission (7 July 2026), said Financial Risk Assessments should support “high-spending customers in financial difficulties, while reducing friction for customers who are not” by cutting unnecessary document checks. Stage one starts with the largest operators and very high net-deposit thresholds. Implementation is staged. An FRA is not permission to spend. Credit cards, banks and blocking software
Remote GB gambling on credit cards has been banned since 14 April 2020. A credit-funded e-wallet is still a problem — don’t. Many UK banks let you block gambling merchant codes on a debit card. That is not GAMSTOP. Turning the bank block off does not lift a Commission-backed exclusion. Device blockers such as Gamban sit with GAMSTOP, not instead of it.
Signs this is no longer a flutter
You do not need a diagnosis to use the helpline. Typical flags:
- Chasing losses, hiding statements, borrowing to deposit
- Gambling with money for rent or food
- Failed cool-offs, new accounts, “one last” sessions
- Rows at home about time or money on an app
If that is you, stop reading rankings and call the number. If that is someone else, you can still call — GamCare talks to affected others. Under 18 cannot hold a GB remote account. If a child has got in, that is a licence failure and a safeguarding issue.
From 19 January 2026, licensed bonus funds cannot demand more than 10× playthrough, and mixed-product carrots are banned. That makes a match less of a prison. It does not make casino odds fair. Do not clear wagering to “get well”.
