The bill, not a text-message casino. Checked: 1 September 2026.
SMS casino UK is a 2012 query wearing 2026 clothes. Nobody worthwhile lets you stake by text message. What still exists is Pay by Mobile / Pay by Phone: you enter a UK number at the cashier, confirm an SMS PIN, the deposit hits your phone bill or PAYG credit.
Page one in 2026:
- OLBG: Fonix is the standard; Boku is withdrawing from UKGC cashiers. Duelz and MrQ on Fonix at £10, welcome often valid.
- Betsquare still writes Boku and a £30/day network cap as if it were universal.
- realmoney-onlinecasinos-uk.com mixes Fonix (MrQ, Duelz) with Siru Mobile ~£5.12 (Mr Vegas, Videoslots) and leftover Boku on Jackpot Mobile Casino.
- Charge-to-mobile law: PSR 2017 electronic-communications exclusion — £40 per transaction, £240 per calendar month per subscriber. CasinoWithdrawal.co.uk is one of the few 2026 pages that prints the statute.
I am ranking licensed Pay by Mobile, not “casinos that SMS you odds”. If you wanted a real UK casino, debit or Pay by Bank is still the grown-up rail.
What an SMS casino is — and is not
It is:
- Fonix / Siru / leftover Boku carrier billing
- SMS confirmation, not SMS gameplay
- Deposit-only — winnings need a card, bank, or e-wallet
- Capped by law (£40 / £240) and often tighter by the aggregator
It is not:
- anonymous (UKGC KYC still applies)
- a way around GAMSTOP
- a credit-card loophole (the Commission does not treat Pay-by-Mobile as the April 2020 credit ban — but a post-paid bill is still money you have not paid yet. Be deliberate.)
- an unlicensed “SMS casino no KYC” Telegram bot

Best UKGC casinos if you actually need the phone bill
| Rank | Casino | Provider (2026 desks) | Min | Welcome on mobile billing? | Why it is here | Score here |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | MrQ | Fonix (OLBG) | £10 | OLBG: Yes | 0× FS culture; 60-second bank cashout on mrq.com/promotions/guarantee; licence 60629 | 8.5 |
| 2 | Duelz | Fonix | £10 (£40/day, £240/month on OLBG) | Yes on that page | Fast wallet brand; UKGC 48695 cited by OLBG | 7.8 |
| 3 | Mr Vegas / Videoslots | Siru ~£5.12 | Lower than Fonix | Bonus eligible in Boku-round-up copy | Only if you need a sub-£10 phone deposit — [VERIFY] | 7.2 |
| 4 | PlayOJO | Phone-bill unreliable in 2026 matrices | — | Do not assume | 0× independent; use PayPal / debit | 8.6 overall / — here |
| 5 | Sky Vegas / Paddy Power | Phone-bill unconfirmed or gone | Debit £5 | N/A | Household casinos. Do not pick them for SMS | 8.7 / 9.1 overall |
Disclosure. 18+. I may earn from links. Jackpot Mobile Casino leftover-Boku lists are a nostalgia trap — check the cashier, check the Register (38474 has been cited). I am not putting a declining Boku skin above MrQ.
MrQ — the only one I would open for this job
Tek Fox Ltd 60629. Fonix Pay by Mobile at £10. Welcome 0× spins usually want £20 on other URLs — so the phone-bill tenner may not be the spin trigger. [VERIFY ON OPERATOR].
The reason MrQ wins this page is the exit: you fund on the bill, you cash out on Instant Bank under their 60-second processing guarantee (or they pay £10). Min withdrawal on MrQ.com copy: £10. That is a coherent product. Duelz is a coherent Fonix deposit; I like MrQ’s cashout better.
Duelz — OLBG’s Pay by Phone winner
OLBG’s 2026 Pay by Phone article leads with Duelz: Fonix, £10, welcome valid, PayPal/debit/Trustly out, ~6 minute average cashout in their notes. Licence 48695. Fine as a specialist. Not my everyday UK casino.
Why I will not crown Sky as an SMS casino
Flutter’s virtue is the licensed lobby, not carrier billing. Several 2026 Boku tables mark Sky “unconfirmed”. Use debit / Pay by Bank. Take the 50 no-deposit spins (Sky’s own support) if you wanted a cheap look.
The £40 / £240 cap — print it once
Under the Payment Services Regulations 2017, charge-to-mobile stays inside the electronic-communications exclusion only if each payment is ≤ £40 and the subscriber stays ≤ £240 per calendar month. Networks and Fonix/Boku can set lower day caps (Betsquare still says Boku £30/day across all UK casinos combined).
You cannot hop brands to reset a carrier cap that follows the number. The Phone-paid Services Authority sits next to the Commission on this rail. If a page hides the statute, it is a sales page.
Liv Boeree on instant digital play: a bill that arrives next month is delayed pain, not safer play. Set a deposit limit on the casino anyway (named as such from 30 September 2026).
Welcome bonuses and Pay by Mobile
OLBG says Duelz/MrQ welcomes can fire on Fonix. High-street books usually exclude prepaid and carrier billing — same habit as Paysafecard. Never assume. The promo tile’s method list beats the cashier badge.
Mixed-product welcomes are banned from 19 January 2026. A phone-bill sport free-bet will not unlock casino spins as one package.
How I scored an SMS URL
| Factor | Weight |
|---|---|
| Named, live Fonix/Siru/Boku on a UKGC cashier | 30% |
| Welcome eligible on that rail | 15% |
| A real withdrawal route (bank/card) | 25% |
| Honest caps (£40 / £240) | 15% |
| Rest of the casino | 15% |
Gate: UKGC. “SMS casino no account” is a different, illegal intent — see the no-account page.
Sarah Gardner (UKGC FRAs, July 2026): identity checks still exist. A phone PIN is not KYC.
FAQ
Are there SMS casinos in the UK?
There are Pay by Mobile casinos. There are not licensed sites where you play by text.
What is the best Pay by Phone casino UK?
MrQ in my book (Fonix + fast bank out). Duelz if you trust OLBG’s 2026 test.
Can I withdraw to my phone bill?
No.
What is the maximum I can deposit by SMS?
Statute: £40 per payment, £240 per month. Your network may be lower.
Is Boku still a thing?
OLBG: withdrawing from UKGC operators; Fonix is the 2026 default. Confirm the cashier label.
Is Pay by Mobile anonymous or no-KYC?
No.
Does it work on EE, O2, Vodafone, Three?
Fonix copy says the major UK networks including Sky Mobile and Giffgaff. PAYG vs contract can still fail at the aggregator. If the SMS never arrives, stop — do not retry into a half-charge.
Safer play
Carrier billing is easy to forget until the bill lands. If that is the attraction, use GAMSTOP instead. GamCare 0808 8020 133 · GAMSTOP · Gordon Moody · NHS.
